This program is an overview of the fundamentals of finance and acounting for nonfinancial managers. The overriding goal of the program is to present a number of “nuts and bolts” financial concepts, providing managers with useable information, including basic accounting principles. budgeting, and fundamental financial analysis tools. Participants can learn the language of finance, understand what accounting principles are generally accepted, interpret an organization’s financial statements and annual report, review budgeting tools, calculate a break-even scenario, and evaluate returns on investment. This highly interactive workshop features case studies, a variety of planning exercises, and other activities designed with an action-learning focus.
